I know I have the confidence now to keep everything up when I go home

LS September 2019

Staff are supportive and understanding. It’s ok to ask for help – you’re not going to get judged

LS October 2019

The placement has well supported me and my child

CB November 2019

This is one of the best places I’ve been in, all the staff are a good support and anyone would be lucky to have them

SK December 2019

Family ACE is like a home away from home and I have enjoyed my time here. I’ve learnt to parent more positively, and the weeks fly by

MB February 2020

I feel like I’m getting the support I never had

PH February 2020

I’ve learnt that it is ok to open up and talk about my past

DS April 2020

Staff have continually supported the parent to access services, attend meetings as well as offer direct support around the child’s needs. At times I would say these services have been above expectations and have been well received by the parent but also by the Local Authority

SW, LCC August 2019

Family ACE provided both emotional and practical support during difficult times. They have approached the parents in a non-judgemental way taking into account a number of additional factors including complex health, disability and culture

SW LCC

I cannot recommend Family ACE enough! Having used a few mother/baby placements over the years I can honestly say the service provided was outstanding! Staff kept in regular contact with myself and my colleague and were prompt in informing of concerns and putting safety measures in place. They also assisted in last minute in providing an extremely detailed chronology of concerns that included videos, images and times in which concerns had arisen which was really helpful within court and will also be used as a good practice example moving forward due to its detail!

SW Wigan

The family have received a fair, balanced assessment. I have really enjoyed working with Family ACE and have recommended to colleagues already. I would not hesitate to place another child at your service provision

SW LCC December 2019

The mother is extremely thankful of the support she received during and post placement. She felt encouraged and enabled to move forward recognising the difficulties she had and how this had impacted on her ability to care for her older children who were unfortunately placed for adoption. Had the mother received the support she has recently had at the time she had her other children the outcome may have been completely different

SW LCC April 2020

As you may be aware we have a hearing today. I just wanted to thank you for your very detailed and comprehensive report. The quality of the report has enabled us to take proactive action at an early stage and I wanted to acknowledge this and Express my gratitude. I will be happy to work with Ace in the future and recommend the unit to colleagues that are searching for facility

Children Guardian, July 2020

There is comprehensive and clear risk assessment both within the placement and postplacement for parents moving on to their own accommodation

local authority social worker LCC September 2020

The quality of reports is excellent, they are clear, concise and identify any risk and how this could be mitigated in the community if appropriate…observations are clearly written and information and concerns are reported and recorded with follow up emails/telephone calls

local authority social worker LCC September 2020

My past experience with Family Ace has been really positive and assessments have always been fair and balanced

Independent Reviewing Officer, Liverpool December 2020

Family ACE have a skilled and experienced staff team who have provided a comprehensive and exceptional service to the mother and baby placed there, they have supported in a successful transition home for the mother and baby. They have provided the mother with knowledge and skills to safely care for her baby ensuring that the support offered is tailored to the needs of each family. Any concerns are raised with the parents at the earliest opportunity and then support is offered to learn from and overcome any areas of concern, this has supported in the parents ability to put trust within the staff team

local authority social worker LCC December 2020

It has been a pleasure to work with the staff team at Family ACE, they are professional and approachable and have a wide range of skills and experience, I have been kept up to date with any concerns throughout the placement and they have been proactive in implementing safety measures as required. Reports and assessments have been to a high standard and give the reader a real feel of what is working well and what needs to happen to improve in areas for the family. Practice is reflective and there is a real sense of the staff really understanding and knowing the families they work with which allows them to develop genuine relationships with families and provide a comprehensive parenting assessment, offer support and also challenge parents when needed. I would highly recommend Family ACE to my colleagues looking for a mother and baby residential placement

My role as an Independent Advocate is to support an advocate for vulnerable individuals. In my dealings with Family Ace I have always found the organisation to be professional, well organised, well managed and supportive of it’s residents. Each staff member that I have come into contact with has been polite , respectful and professional at all times. Often the individuals that I support have additional need. I have always found Family Ace to sensitive to this and willing to adapt to accommodate an individuals needs. I have always been impressed by the service on offer and the level of respect and dignity demonstrated towards the individuals often at very difficult and challenging times.
