Family ACE supports the Real Living Wage
Our team of support workers are a mixture of full time and part time staff, which also includes two Qualified Assessment Social workers with training in PAMs Software. Through their practice they have experience to support risk assessment, safeguarding of child protection and vulnerable adults, being fully conversant in child and adult safeguarding procedures, management of serious incidents, and management of complaints and allegations.
All staff members will have a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate at the appropriate level, which includes checks of the Protection of Children Act List (POCA) and the Protection of Vulnerable Adults List (POVA). All have or are working towards an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People and Level 3 Working with Parents or have equivalent degrees.
As part of our safe recruitment process, all staff members who are conditionally appointed will be contracted following receipt of at least two verified references, checks of breaks of employment history, identity checks, receipt of evidence of relevant qualifications, and right to work verification.
Our support worker team will help obtain observations as part of the parenting assessments. Undertaking assessment sessions and daily observations and writing up reports. Their duties will include working alongside and in partnership with the Local Authority Social Worker to ensure positive outcomes. Staff are to provide a range of supportive and additional services to support parents and children. This includes supervising all aspects of parents caring giving to baby/children supervising contact, escorting to and from contact sessions and running training sessions, activities and events to promote parenting capacity.
